Please join artist David John Attyah and discussant/artist Olivia Booth for an exhibition walkthrough and artist conversation about The Museum of Selective Homo Amnesia.

Instead of a traditional artist talk, this conversation also explores several important currents:

•Intense fabrication is itself a mode of self-reflective thought or healing
•Artmaking as a means of exploring alienation and marginal psychological experience
•Artmaking as a method of revising and repairing history
•The role of emotion in contemporary art, including nostalgia, empathy, eroticism, and melancholy

Attendees are invited to participate in the discussion through the lens of their own practice
